After everything I've done this summer, I realized even more how the concept of home is so important to me. No day in the summer was boring to me - I had good summer classes, awesome BLD retreats, and random family vacations. It was a lot of fun. But as the start of school was coming closer, I wondered if I ever had a day to just relax, if I ever felt settled at home yet.

I fought to stay home last week so I could have that time to relax before school, and I'm still wondering if that desperate amount of time was enough.

I know I'm going to keep struggling with trying to feel settled for many years to come. Not just at my physical home, but anywhere I go. It's tough for me because I always feel that there's something to do, that I can't waste any time.

Home to me is my center, my sanity. I need to have it with me wherever I go. So while I'm here in college, I need to focus on having the time to relax, because I don't want to ever lose that feeling of home.



... I really -do- need that time to relax. I just remembered that I have a lot to do this year: 5 classes this semester, E-comm, taiko, and tutoring. o_o

So yeah, the most important thing to do this year is just remember to relaaaax.
